Mid C19. Red brick with contrasting bands and details. Slate roof. Two storey and
attic. Coped parapetted gables to N. & S. with stone eaves and ridge finials. Good
contemporary shopfront with semi-circular-headed windows and pilasters. Central
doorway. First floor sashes with stone lintels. 'Polychrome' brick pointed relieving
arches over window openings with herring-bone brick infill in spandrels. Central
circular attic window. Moulded string course at eaves level. Axial chimney stack
off-centre to S. Moulded brick dentil eaves on E. & W. elevations, sashes with gauged
arches. Low flank walls at NE and NW corners terminating in square brick piers with
stone caps and ball-finials.
