1858, by Suter, architect to the Fishmongers. Red brick, steep plain-tiled roof. Two
storeys and attic. Central block with 2 cross-wings to N. & S. Timber casements with
mullions, transoms and glazing bars. Cambered brick arches over wind openings.
Continuous brick drip mould over first floor window openings. Two storey bay window
in W. wall of N. wing with hipped roof. Projecting 2 storey porch on S. side with
2-centred arched doorway with stone surround, surmounted by panel with coat of arms
and date of 1562.
Parapetted gables to wings. Three 'wedge' dormers on W. side of main block. Brick
chimney stacks, one diagonally-set on S. side.
Built on the site of Sir Thomas Gresham's former manor house.
