4/33 Kettles tone House.


House. Late C18 or early C19. Gault brick with black glazed pantiled roof.
2 storey, 3 bay garden front. 2 ground and 3 first-floor tripartite plate-
glass casements. Central first-floor plate-glass sash. Central 6 panel raised
and fielded door with panelled reveals and leaded glazing bars to fan-light;
Ionic fluted half-columns with entablature and baseless open pediment. Wooden
eaves, hipped roof and off-ridge stacks. 2 storey wing at rear, flint with
brick dressings, north gable with initials WJ 1857 (for William Jones of Cranmer
Hall, Sculthorpe).
