TF 93 SE LITTLE SNORING GT. SNORING ROAD

Fernhouse (The Old Rectory))

House, formerly Rectory. Late C17 with later alterations. On earlier moated
site. Flint with brick dressings, red pantiled roof. 2 storeys with attic.
Garden front 2 ground and 3 first floor late C19 plate glass sashes on brick
dressed surrounds. Part glazed boarded door. Ground floor blocked windows
and one blocked door opening, first floor one blocked window. 2 flat roofed
C20 dormers with glazing bars. Brick quoins, kneelers and parapets with end
stacks. Single storey lean-to, brick and flint, at west. West gable with
3 windows, 2 blocked, brick diapering. East gable with 2 attic windows with
brick surrounds and drip-moulds. Rear with series of blocked brick dressed
windows. Interior with stopped and chamfered beams and traces of large
original fireplaces.
