Parish Church with detached tower. Nave fabric Norman, with later details,
chancel Early English. Flint with carstone, stone and brick dressings. Black
glazed pantiled roofs. Nave south wall with Norman window, one 2-light
Decorated window, one single lancet with drip mould. Perpendicular south
porch. Norman south door with colonnettes, innermost with capitals, round
arch and stilted arch hood-mould. In between a zig-zag moulding re-arranged
in C13 as narrow gothic arch. Nave west gable with carstone quoins C12, 2-
light Decorated west window. Nave north late Norman north door blocked,
3-light Perpendicular window and 2-light switch tracery Decorated window.
Nave gables, part of north wall, kneelers, parapets and dentil cornice late
C18. Chancel of 2 bays with north and south. 2 2-light straight-headed
Perpendicular windows; East window 3 Early English lancets, shafted internally.
Interior with Early English chancel arch and angle piscina. Norman font,
stone, bases with attached lonnettes with bases and capitals. Circular bowl
with floral interlace. Bench-end inscribed HB 1632. Late C18 single deck
pulpit with reading desk. Royal Arms James II 1686. Late C18 nave roof,
exposed rafters, mid C19 boarded chancel roof.
