6/74 Old Rectory


House, former Rectory House. c1840. Gault brick with slate roofs. 2 storeys,
double pile with entrance and returned garden facades. 4 bay entrance front
with 2 ground and 4 first-floor sashes with glazing bars under rubbed brick
flat arches. c1900 brick porch with parapet. First-floor plat- band, wooden
cornice. 3 bay garden front with 3 ground and 3 first-floor sashes with
glazing bars. Pilaster strips, first floor centre bay recessed. Hipped roofs,
wooden eaves, 2 ridge stacks. Service wing to north with ground-floor gothick
switch tracery window.
