Pair of cottages, formerly divided into 3. Early to mid C18. Red brick, red
pantiled roof. No. 21 : one ground and 2 first floor 2-light cast iron case-
ment windows with glazing bars under cambered rubbed brick arches. At right
angles single storey gable rang with boarded door. No. 22 : one ground floor
single light; one 2-light casement and 2 first floor 2-light casements with
glaring liars under rubber brick arches. Boarded door. Flint floor platband
and. dog-tooth eaves cornice to No. 22 only. Off-centre stack and west end
stack, brick parapets with tumbling to gables. 2 storey extension at north
west with one 2-light and one single light cast iron casement with glazing
bars under rubbed brick arches. At rear and to east gable ground floor flint
with brick dressings brick first floor. Interior: No. 21 : ground floor spine-
beam, first floor cross beam. No. 22 : ground floor chamfered and stopped spine
and cross beams. Roof with butt purlins and collars. Details identify buildings
as former Leicester Estate Cottage.
