House, late C16/early C17. Brick under black glazed pantiles. 3 cell lobby
entrance plan. 2 storeys and attic, platband not reaching gables, dentil
cornice; large early C20 casements with transoms, 3 lights to first and second
bays, 2 lights to third bay; off centre axial stack. Off centre C20 gabled
porch with pseudo-classical surround to double bared glazed door with glazing
bars. Gables in flint brick mosaic; gable ends raised cim; gable parapet;
headed casement attic window to both gables. Interior: archway through stack
between fireplaces to right and left. Left hand cell fireplace has fireback
dated 1588 and early C20 oak surround; plain chamfered beams; massive timber
frame to rear door of central cell; roof of staggered purlins and collars, heavy
timber frame to attic floor, internal attic partitions timber framed; thin
bricks to stack. Rear 2 storey late C20 extension of no special interest.
