of Hunworth Hall

Barn c1700, aligned south-west - north-east. Coursed flint under pantiles,
brick dressings, ventilation slits. 5 bays. North-east gable raised cim
with initials EB (Edmund Britiffe, d.1726) in iron on raised part; 3 brick
dressed ventilation slits, and hole. Large central doors to north-west.
Late C18 extension to south-east across opening has lower walls of flint,
the upper walls of brick; large slanting brick buttresses to north-east.
Weather boarded gable to extension over large doors set in brick wall.
Interior: roof of double collar beams and two tiers of staggered purlins;
some rafters renewed; threshing floor of thin tiles. Addition at south-west
end attached to stock shed (qv 2/94) and cow shed (qv 2/95). Forms a group
with stock shed, cow shed and pig sties.
