8/73 Toad Hole Cottage

G.V. II

House, c.1740. Brick and thatched. One storey with attic and outshut on
flint plinth. South elevation pierced by 2 C19 casements with glazing bars
and segmental arches flanking blocked doorway. Gables with parapets on
corbelled kneelers and tumbling. Internal end stack on gabled roof. North
outshut pantiled. Interior intact, with 2 service rooms, one with arched
brick shelves, opening onto kitchen with opposed entry doors. Large fireplace
with brick hob. To the right a winder staircase to attic bedrooms.
