House. 1820 by Rev. William Gunn, amateur architect. Gault brick and slate
roof. West facade of 2 storeys in 3 bays. Central C20 door behind fluted
Doric porch standing on 2 columns and pilasters. Entablature with full Doric
orders. Sash windows with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches, those
to the ground floor enriched by scalloped sash hoods. Clasping corner
pilasters. Timber eaves cornice and hipped roof. South front of 2 storeys
in 4 bays. Sash windows as before. Late C20 extension of one storey under
hipped roof contains swimming pool and is of no architectural interest. To
north 2 storey, 4 bay service range under hipped roof. Sash windows as before.
