9/28 Old Rectory (formerly listed
as Banningham Rectory)
- II

House. Cira 1700 and later. Brick; pantile roof. Irregular plan. Front
of 2 storeys, 5 bays in 2 parts. The earlier of c1700 of 3 bays with C19
brick porch to central bay, 6 panel door with the top 4 glazed. Sash
windows with glazing bars under rubbed and gauged brick arches; platband.
Wooden dentil eaves cornice. Gable end stacks with arched recesses. Shaped
gable. To right of this range the facade continues with another 2 bays;
sash windows with glazing bars; wooden dentil eaves cornice; pitch of this
roof shallower. To rear outshut probably of'early C19 with shaped gable
screen. Stair outshut with shallow-pitched roof. Interior. One
bolection-moulded fireplace to upper room.
