Lodge, now a hotel. Mid C19 remodelled in early C20. Flint with gault
brick dressings; smut pantile hipped roof. Irregular plan. Front of
7 bays, 1½ storeys. Iron lattice casements with hood moulds. Embattled
porch to third bay, now partly blocked and with a window; hood mould over.
Gabled porch with decorative barge-board to sixth bay; hood mould over
C20 door. Seventh bay has bay window. 5 half dormers, gabled, with
carved bargeboards. Oversailing eaves. Off-centre axial stack with 2
octagonal and one rectangular shaft. Additions and alterations to rear
of no special interest.
