7/13 Pine Farmhouse

GV II


House, C17. Coursed flint, rendered to front, pantiles. 2 cell cross
passage having chimney bay at either end. Lower single storey extension
to right. Internal end stacks, that to left rebuilt after fire, high gable
parapets, roof once thatched. Central door, 3-light casement windows, 2
to ground floor under segmental heads, 2 to 1st floor. Single bay windowless
extension to right in coursed flint under pantiles, door to left, attic
window to right return. Rear: coursed flint with brick dressings, dentil
cornice; upper part of left hand bay in brick, right hand bay part rendered.
2 shallow buttresses to right of central door; high window of 4 fixed square
lights to ground floor of left bay, small blocked square window in left
chimney bay; 3-light casement to ground floor of right bay and left
extension; upper part of extension in brick. Interior: Ogee stopped
chamfered tie beams to each cell ground floor; said to have smoking chamber
to left hand stack.
