Late C16/early C17 timber-frame house, plastered. Later brick faced ground
floor. First floor jettied slightly. Steep gabled roof with pantiles.
Two storeys. Long range of 5 widely spaced windows, probably early C20 casements.
Ground floor with 2 modern glazed porches. Large brick chimney stack at
east end. South east wing, probably C17, plastered timber-frame and brick,
pantile roof, lower 2 storeys. Rear extension late C19/early C20, of painted
brick, along entire length of building.
The house stands on a moated site.
