C15/16 hall house. Plastered timber-frame. Thatched roofs with gabled ends,
the east end higher. Large brick chimney stack at junction. West end (No
60A) 2 storeys, originally open hall, floored in C16 or C17, interior with
roll-moulded beam on similarly moulded posts, 2 original arched doorways,
and arched braces to tiebeams in roof.
The east end (No 60) 2 storeys and attic, wind braces in roof, chamfered
ceiling beam with carved stops. Mainly C19 casements, No 60A has blocked
mullion windows.
