Church Farm Barn
Probably a former tithe barn. Dated 1688 in moulded brick aedicule in east
gable. Walls weatherboarded timber frame with brick and flint plinth and
gable end. Pantiled roof. Two full-height southern projections opposite
entrances and one low northern outshut. Seven main trusses with collars and
braced ties with queen struts opposite entrances only. They alternate with
collared principal rafters arch-braced to main studs. Butt-purlins and
occasional wind-braces. Walls close-studded on sill-beam with occasional
tension braces.
