Lobby-Entrance type house with an early side addition. Early C17 and later C17.
Underbuilt timber frame with an applied imitation timber frame incorporated in the
render. Thatched roof. Originally a 5-bay frame extended by another 5 bays to north.
2 storeys with attic. 6 bays of C19 windows with glazing bars and rectangular hood-
moulds. One small rectangular bay window, a canted bay window-cum-porch and a
rectangular bay window-cum-porch. Large bay-windows at gable ends. C19 casements
with horizontal glazing bars and 2 dormers to rear. 2 axial stacks. 2 winding
stairs, one to entrance side of southern stack. Jowled wall-posts. Ogee and nicked
beam stops. Original roof with collars and butt-purlins and heavier scantling in
southern half.
