6/42 Lodge to Shotesham Park


Small dwelling. Circa 1790. Probably associated with Sir John Soane. Gault
brick with slate roof. T plan. Single storey. Pedimented jetty with carved
laurel wreath and ribbon in tympanum and supported on 2 Ionic columns. Front
door with glazed upper panel and architrave. 4 sash windows with glazing
bars beneath skewback arches. Axial stack. Shallow pitched roofs with
projecting eaves. C20 flat-roofed extension to rear.
