10/58 The Lilacs


Former school. Mid C19. Colour-washed brick with slate roof. Single storey.
Symmetrical facade of 5 bays with central gabled porch and 4 3-light casement
windows beneath rectangular hood moulds. Porch with 4-centred archway with
hood mould. Shallow roof with crow-stepped gables. One central axial stack
and one stack on rear pitch of north gable-end. Included for group value
with The Old Hall (10/50) and Church of St. Mary the Virgin (10/51).
