Country house. Early 18th century, refronted in early 19th century. Earlier
work in red brick with gault brick addition to west. Black glazed pantile
roofs, hipped over later range. Two storeys, T-shaped plan with double
pile range to east. Symmetrical west facade of three bays: sashes with
glazing bars, gauged brick arches over openings. Central doorway with half
glazed 2-leaf door with bolection moulded lower panels. Porch on two pairs
of unfluted Ionic columns. Modillion eaves cornice. Two ridge stacks with
recessed panels flanking centre bay. 20th century flat roofed extensions
to north and south. Sashes in north and south walls: one blind first floor
opening in north wall. Earlier red brick, double pile range to east: sashes
with glazing bars and architraves, some casements. Twin shaped east gables.
Two panelled ridge stacks with square moulded bases. Pantiled one-storey
lean-to at north-east corner. Attached red brick boundary wall with shallow
buttresses, stepped plinth and half round coping. Semi-circular headed
garden entrance door; gate piers rebuilt.
