Country house, early C19. Whitewashed brick with reed thatched roofs.
One and two storeys with attics, irregular plan. Sash windows with glazing
bars in south and east elevation; pointed arched heads with intersecting
glazing bars and drip moulds. Gable at south-west corner has ground floor
sash extending down to floor level. Small attic lancet window in gable
apex. Two full dormer windows with half-hipped roofs. Ridge chimney stacks
with square shafts linked by ornamental brick caps. The east front has
square headed ground floor sashes with Gothick top lights under label
moulds; three eyebrow dormers with 'Y' tracery heads. Six-panel entrance
door with upper four panels glazed; thatched porch on timber posts. Half
hipped dormer at north-east corner with 2-light Gothick casement, C20
casement window below. Fenestration on north side slightly altered and
renewed but retaining 1&2-light pointed casements, some with leaded glazing.
Small walled courtyard on west side. Later loggia with hipped thatched
roof on south-west corner.
