9/2 Oaklands Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse, early C19. Red brick with smut pantile roof. Two storeys and
attics, two storeys at rear; L-shaped plan. Symmetrical facade of three
bays : 3-light casements with glazing bars, the ground floor windows wider
and with segmental arched heads. Gauged brick arches over all window
openings. Parapeted gables with internal chimney stacks and tumbling-in.
Attic window in west gable. Modillion eaves cornice. Low screen wall with
lean-to behind on each side. Lower service wing to rear : casements with
glazing bars, segmental heads to ground floor openings. Chimney stacks off
centre on ridge line and at north gable.
