House, late C17 with later minor extensions. Red brick with steeply pitched
plain tiled roofs, hipped over later wing to west. Two storeys and attics,
T-shaped plan. North range forming head of 'T' has shaped gables; cross
casements with leaded glazing, one ground floor window ovolo-moulded. Large
external stack off-centre on north wall with weathered offsets. Rebuilt
internal stack on west gable. Sawtooth and modillion brick eaves. West gable
has window openings with segmental moulded brick pediments, all openings
blocked except one at first floor and one at attic level. East gable has
ground floor openings altered: one 2-light casement with semicircular head,
one large square headed window with transom and pivoted upper lights; one
first floor cross casement with leaded glazing, all other openings blocked.
Gabled single storey outshut with pantiled roof at north-east corner. South
range altered and extended: ground floor windows of 3 lights, two with
restored rendered and chamfered mullions, some C20 casements with leaded
glazing. Two-light first floor casements with leaded glazing: one cross
casement. Stepped south gable with catslide extension to west side; large
C20 4-light ground floor window with transom with 2-light floor and
attic casements above. Off-centre entrance door with plain pilastered
doorcase with lead covered canopy and rectangular 2-light fanlight above.
First floor cross casement in south end of lean-to. Catslide to west with
2 and 4-light leaded casements. Two storey hipped projection with C20
casements in west wall, the ground floor window of 3 lights with transom and
glazing bars.
