5/16 Forsters Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C17 and later. Red brick, replacing or encasing timber frame,
partly whitewashed. West range rendered and whitewashed. Roofs pantiled and
plaintiled. Two storeys, attics over N-S range, L-shaped plan. West facade
of red brick; 3-light wooden casements, one first floor casement of five
lights. Entrance off-centre to south: door with four raised and fielded
panels and moulded architrave in segmental headed opening. String course at
first floor level. Attic casements in gables. West wall whitewashed: C19
and C20 casements. C20 single storey porch block in north-west angle, linking
two blocks. West range of two storeys with pantile roof. Red brick east gable
with parapet and internal stack. C20 fenestration.
