House. C17 and later. Red brick, partly colourwashed; east gable rendered.
Steeply pitched pantile roof. 12 storeys, lobby entrance plan. South facade
symmetrical, three bays wide: C20 2-light casements with glazing bars.
Central lean-to porch, C20. Segmental heads to ground floor openings. Attic
casements in gables. Three C20 gabled dormers. Parapet gables with brick
coping; red brick western gable with tumbling-in. Ridge stack opposite
entrance with three linked lozenge-shaped shafts. C20 extension on north
side. Interior: winding stair against stack in lobby. Tie beams with plain
and stepped run-out chamfer stops. Ground floor east room has good C18 corner
cupboard with shell niche and plaster cornice with paterae; over the fire-
place bressummer, a faint painted text in black letter script with looped
border, date not clearly decipherable, but probably 1663.
