House, now 2 dwellings, in two builds, late C16 and early C17; brick,
pantiles. C16 build to left (north), single bay, basement, main floor and
attic; lower 2-bay 2 storeyed build to south with addition of late C20 bay
to right. C16 brick in English bond with polygonal clasping buttress to
right angle; gable parapet with internal stack to left; gable coping to right
with internal stack having octagonal shaft of moulded brick. Basement with
2-light casement renewed within C16 frame having lozenge wood mullion; main
floor with doorway right; cross casement left with segmental relieving arch
flanked by blocked openings; dormer to attic with C20 casements. Right
return with some flint; left return in irregular bond, platband and eaves
band, lean-to addition below, 2 inserted attic openings. Rear: 2 small
basement openings; main floor with 2 2-light openings under segmental arches,
that to left similar to basement opening of main facade, that to right to
match. C17 lower build to right (incorporating No. 7): 2 bays, 2 storeys,
set back slightly, in English bond, plinth, corrugated tiles. Bay 1 with
4-light casement to ground floor renewed within early wooden frame with wood
mullions, 4-light opening to first floor to match, doorway to left; large
axial stack to right. Bay 2 with renewed 4-light casement to ground and
first floor. Additional late C20 bay to right with flat roofed porch to
front of no special interest. Rear in English bond with plinth; late C20
flat roofed extensions to rear of second and additional bay of no special
interest. Varied fenestration to rear of bay 1, blocked 2-light C17 opening
to first floor of rear of bay 2.
