2/57 The Steward's House


House, dated 1749, red brick, pantiles. 3 bays, 2 storeys; end internal
stacks, gable parapets; platband, coloured headers, brick tumbling in to
gables. Ground floor with 3 double casements under cambered arches; C20
gabled brick porch between bays 2 and 3; 3 double casements to first floor.
Left return with attic window; I W M (I W Marsham) and 1749 in iron. Right
return with 2-light casement to ground floor, attic window. Rear with
continuous C19 lean-to under pantiles; varied fenestration. First floor
with 2 2-light casements.
