House, c.1850, gault brick facade (rear and returns of colourwashed red
brick) hipped slate roof. Double depth, 5 bays, 2 storeys. Principal facade
to south: symmetrical, angle pilaster strips, central bay breaking forward
c.10cm; recessed sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, skew back flat
arches. Central single-storeyed later-C19 addition of porch: rendered, with
parapet; curved angles with Tuscan pilasters to facade and returns; 4
panelled door to semi-circular headed doorway with fanlight, sashes to
returns. 2 gault brick stacks on axis between bays 1 and 2, 4 and 5. 2-bay
returns of colourwashed brick, openings with cambered arches, right return
with blank openings to first bay; second bay with C20 canted bay with sashes
with glazing bars to ground floor, first floor with sash with glazing bars.
Left return with French windows to ground floor, that to right a-late C20
insertion in blank opening to match French window to left, sash with glazing
bars to first bay, first floor. Rear with various service ranges; some
recessed sashes with glazing bars under cambered arches. Interior: staircase
with mahogany wreathed handrail curved around dogleg, stick balusters.
