House, C17, rendered and colourwashed, timberframed with brick, pantiles.
4 cells and central chimney bay, single storey and attic. Principal facade
to east: plinth of brick and flint, facade part encased in brick to left;
cell 1 with doorway to left, 2-light casement to right; cell 2 with part
panelled glazed door with glazing bars, attached glazed porch on C19 rustic
wood columns; cell 3 with Cl9 3-light casement with transome; cell 4 with
3-light leaded casements (one light plain). Raking roof dormers to cells
2 and 3. Left gable with offset wall above eaves level containing loft
doorway; right return with 2-light attic window with pintle hinges. Rear
to common with 2 C19 3-light openings with transoms. Interior: stair to
rear of stack; timber frame with curved braces to front and rear of third
cell; partition between third and fourth cells with 2 doorways. Tie beam
to cell 3 with lambs tongue stops, bridging beam to cell 1 of round timber,
18cm ceiling joists to cell 2. Fourth cell with straight braces, partition
within cell having wavy splat ventilation bars over doorway. 2-tier roof
of 8cm rafters with collars, staggered tenoned purlins.
