GV II*

Barn, now housing grain silos, early C17, brick, pantiles. 5 steads;
crowstepped gables; roof retiled. Plinth in Flemish bond with rounded cap;
large moulded platband, walls below in English bond, walls above in Flemish
bond. Principal facade to south: large doors to fourth stead; openings
to right below platband with chamfered brick surrounds, 2 to first stead
each with 2 renewed brick mullions; second stead with vertical slit in
blocked openings; third stead with rectangular opening with 5 brick
mullions, some renewed. Above the platband a blocked opening and shuttered
loft opening with segmental head. To right of doors above platband a
blocked opening with vertical slit. Return to right with platband;
rectangular opening to gable with 7 brick mullions, some renewed; small
blocked square opening above. Return to left with platband; Flemish bond
throughout; later lean-to additions removed; rectangular opening to gable
with chamfered brick surround and 6 brick mullions, some renewed. Square
hood mould removed. Rear: additional lean-to to north-west, open cartshed
lean-to to north-east. Opposing doorway with brick walls under lean-to
roof. Plinth in English bond; to right 2 rectangular openings with chamfered
brick surround, 4 brick mullions and transoms; to left 2 similar openings
with 6 mullions and transoms, that to right with 2 lights blocked. Interior:
C18 roof ties with braced wall posts, 3 tier roof with collars, second tier
braced.
