Pair of cottages, now one house. C18. Timber framed on brick plinth. Infill
of colourwashed wattle and daub and flint. Pantiled roof. One storey and
dormer attic. 2 doorways, that to right under pedimented C20 hood. 3 ground
floor casements of 1972. Gabled roof with 5 gabled dormers also with 1972
casements. Ridge stack left of centre. Right bay of C19 brick with partly
external end stack. Rear has continuous putshut of brick under catslide roof.
One gabled dormer. Interior. Timber framing is of thin scantling and widely
spaced studs. Large fireplace, on north side with domed bread oven. Arched
braces to timber frame at corners under wall plate. Roof of tie beams on
arched braces, principals, 2 tiers butt purlins and collars.
