TM 29 NE BROOKE HIGH GREEN

Pair of cottages. C18, probably with earlier core. Rendered timber frame,
some brick. Thatched roof. 4-cell lobby entrance type plan. Regular facade
of 4 bays, 1½ storeys. C18 casements. 2 plank doors with a 3-light casement
to left hand and centre bays. 2-light casement to right hand end. 3 eyebrow
dormers, one with leaded panes. Central axial stack and left hand gable
end stack. Left hand parapet gable and brick gable return. Left hand gable
wall of C18 brick with some diapering. Interior. Some timber-framing
revealed; arch-braces to wall plate. Stair behind stack. Cambered tie
beams.
