3/45 Hall Farmhouse


House. Late C16/early C17. Timber frame with C20 pebbledash exterior.
Thatched roof. 3-cell plan. Facade of 3 bays, 2 storeys. C19 casements.
Rendered plinth. 2-light window with horizontal glazing bars to first bay.
2 3-light windows with C20 thatched porch between. 3 2-light windows to first
floor. Off-centre axial stack and right hand gable end stack. Single storey,
one bay range to left hand gable, probably C18. Interior: some timber frame
revealed. Brick of c1600 to chimney. Transverse beam with bar stops on jowled
principal studs: Originally unglazed 6-light mullioned window in rear wall
with cavetto moulding. Roof probably C18.
