House. Probably late C16 with C17 and C18 additions. Timber framed,
rendered to rear; facade pebbledash with applied half-timbering. Glazed
brick pantile roof. 2-cell C16 plan with C17 bay added to south and C18
cross-wing to north. Facade of 5 bays, 2 storeys and attic. C19 and
C20 casements. Northern projecting gabled bay. C20 door to its right.
5 casements to first floor. C20 attic window. Off-centre axial stack.
C18 external stack to north gable wall. Interior. Ovolo moulded beam
with elaborately carved stop in ground floor room to south; close studwork
in walls. 2-light ovolo moulded mullion in stair bay to first floor.
Arched-braces to corner posts. Heavy chamfer to transverse beam in centre
upper room, with bar stop and nick. Butt-purlin roof. 5 light diamond
mullion window to attic, now enclosed by C18 addition. Former exterior
wall with incised pargetting and scored round window in imitation of
ashlar.
