6/49 Commission Mill Cottage

G.V. II

Miller's cottage, now holiday cottage. Late C18. Whitewashed brick with
thatched roof. East side of one storey and dormer attic. Door right of
centre and one C20 window to right and left, all under segmental arches.
Gabled roof with large central dormer under eyebrow thatching. This contains
a 3-light casement. Rebuilt internal stack to south gable. Tumbling in gable
heads, the south gable head rebuilt. Against both gable walls a single storey
early C20 pantiled lean-to addition. A similar extension obscures the rear
wall of cottage. Included for group value.
