6/55 The Thatched House

House. Dated 1757. Brick and thatched. One storey and dormer attic in 3
irregular bays. Pilasters at corners and between each bay. Left bay pierced
by one casement and one sash window. Centre bay has one casement and door
behind openwork timber gabled porch of 1932. One casement to right bay. Over
window in middle bay a datestone : I.L.R. 1757. Gabled roof with 2 gabled
dormers carried on moulded brick sills. Dormers are pantiled and contain
casements. Internal gable end stacks, that to south-west rebuilt.
