(south side)
7/14 Barn at Church Farm

Threashing barn. Circa 1700. Timber framed with brick plinth and gables.
Slate roof. West side weatherboarded above plinth. Full height double doors
right of centre. Gabled roof. Gable heads of corrugated iron. East side
with gabled transept entrance, weatherboarded above brick plinth. One
pedestrian doorway. To its right a brick and timber outshut with pantiled
roof. Interior of 4 bays. Principal studs carry knuckle braces to tie beams.
Close studding to walls but of thin scantling. Oak threashing floor. Roof
of principals, 2 tiers taper-tenoned butt purlins and collars. Many roof
timbers replaced.
