2/44 Barn at Mautby Hall

5-stead barn. Early C18. Timber framed and weatherboarded with thatched roof.
North side with 2 full height double timber doors, that to the east set within
a gabled transept. Gabled roof. Opposing doors to south side are lower and
below small windows. Interior. 10 bays. Thin scantling studwork with straight
braces from principal studs to wall plates. Tie beams on straight braces,
some renewed. Principal rafters and 2 tiers butt purlins. 2 tiers collars,
the upper tier cambered. Straight windbracing below upper tier of purlins.
Mautby Hall Farmhouse is not listed.
