TG 02 SE THEMELTHORPE THE STREET

4/39 Old Hall Farm House

II

House. C17 with early C19 additions. Red brick with gault brick C19 wing. Hipped
slate roofs. Two storeys with part-attic. 'T'-shaped plan. Rear (W) wing earlier:
casements with glazing bars. Porch on north side with 4-centred arched doorway and
2-light first floor window with brick mullion and dripmould. Two blocked openings
in west wall with remains of dripmoulds. Axial gault brick chimneystack. Early/
Mid C19 gault brick 2-storey wing to east. Facade of 3-bays with central entrance
door. Moulded brick door surround. Sash windows with flat gauged arches over
openings. Two banded chimneystacks symmetrically placed on west side of ridge line.
Wide eaves overhang with bracketted soffit.
