TG 22 SW BUXTON WITH LAMMAS BROOK STREET
Lodge house. C17 and later - datestone 1652 re-set in west wall. Partly
timber framed, pebble-dash rendered with applied false timbering on east side,
flint and red brick on west. Half-hipped reed thatched roof. Two storeys
and attics, first floor jettied on south-east side. Two and three-light
casements; some C20 windows on west elevation. Drip moulds over openings
on north and east sides. Scalloped barge-boards on north and west sides :
wide eaves overhang on north. Canted porch on north wall with hipped thatched
roof; pilasters of 'pudding stone flanking doorway. Lozenge-shaped window
with leaded glazing in splayed wall. Off-centre chimney stack with two rebuilt
octagonal shafts. Attic window in south gable with foiled head and leaded
glazing. Heavy scantling bridging beam and joists in north end room.
