Former Friends Meeting
Former chapel. Late C17/early C18, much altered. Possibly a re-used agricul-
tural building. Red brick, pantiled roof. Moulded brick plinth. South facade
symmetrical with central doorway and four casement windows; early C19. Openings
with segmental heads. Brick dentil eaves. Fixed lights on north elevation.
Parapeted gables. Two blocked openings in west gable. Burial ground on south
side contains the grave of Anna Sewell, authoress of "Black Beauty" (1820-
