Parish church, C11 round tower, the reminder mainly re-built in 1858. Flint
and knapped flint with stone dressings'with Westmorland slate roof. Tower,
nave, north and south aisles, north and south transepts and chancel. West
tower with 2 centred arch with hood mould over 2-light C14 window on west
side. Narrow windows with brick semi-circular arches. Blocked diamond profile
sound hole to west. 4 belfry openings with rebuilt brick and stone semi-
circular arches. C19 string course and battlemented flushwork parapet. Broken
Roman roof tiles built into tower. North aisle-of 3 bays, with re-set north
door. South aisle 3 bays with gabled porch. North and south transepts with
stone parapet gables and verges. Chancel of 2 bays, all with Decorated style
windows. Nave, 4 bays with Decorated and Perpendicular style arcades. Roof
with arch braces alternating with scissor trusses. Barrel roof in chancel.
C13 octagonal font bowl with blind arcade of cusped arches, on a C19 base.
Brass on east wall of north transept with coat of arms.
