8/85 Village Pump


Covered pump, dated 1888, of timber with thatched roof. Square plan, with
oak posts at each corner with arch braces to plates. Timber dado with gate
to the road and cast iron dog-tooth ornament. Roof hipped and thatched with
weather vane. Centrally placed pump in tile floor. Pump of cast iron attached
to a timber column with angle quater round columns with bases and capitals.
Pyramidal finial. Attached commemorative plaques. Gun metal spout discharged
into stone bowl.
