NEWTON ST. FAITH (south side)

2/40 The King's Head Public


Public house, C18 and later. Red brick, colourwashed; pantiled roof. Two
storeys. Range of five windows, irregularly spaced. Four segmental-headed
sashes without glazing bars on ground floor, five two-light first-floor case-
ments. Two entrance doors, one with double doors, doorcase with entablature
on console brackets. Large off-centre axial chimney stack. Parapeted gables
with brick tumbling. Internal stack on south gable. Saw-tooth brick eaves.
Later extensions to rear. Included for group value.
