NEWTON ST. FAITH (south side)

2/45 The Lilacs.

19/1/52 II

House, early C17 and later; much restored. Red brick, partly colourwashed
and rendered. Steeply-pitched pantile roof. Two storeys and attics, T-shaped.
Sashes and two- and three-light casements, mostly C20. South elevation of
red brick with platband at first floor level. Three window range, sashes on
ground floor, casements on first floor. Crow-stepped west gable. Central
T-shaped chimney stack. Later lean-to's on north and east sides and in north-
west angle. Crow-stepped north gable with attic casement, platband at eaves
level, rendered over. West elevation has double doors with elliptical-headed
glazing and C20 lean-to porch.
