House, early C18 and later, of several builds. Brick, partly rendered and
whitewashed, thatched roof. Two storeys and attics, L-shaped. Four window
range : first floor two-light casements, ground floor three sashes with glazing
bars and architraves. Off-centre doorway with wooden doorcase with dentilled
frieze and key-block surmounted by a moulded canopy on round columns with
pronounced entasis, square capitals and bases. Skewback brick arches over
ground floor openings, evidence of blocked first floor window above doorway.
Plain brick pilasters at corners of original three-bay house, the southernmost
bay being later and rendered over. Chimney stacks at gables of original house.
South gable has C20 ground- and first-floor casements, and attic light with
glazing bars. North gable weatherboarded. C19 wing to east side with canted
bay window on north wall. Axial chimney stack. One-storey pantiled range
of outbuildings at south-east corner.
