Former farm buildings, coach houses and stables of Catton Hall.
Mid C19 but with earlier core. Red brick with slate and pantile
roofs. Irregular 'T'-shaped plan, with smaller ranges to the north.
Southern and western elevations have ranges of stable and coach
house doors. Western gable at south end rises above lean-to stable
roof with blocked semi-circular arch and clock face, parapet gable
with at its apex a bellcote with timber cusped braces and pyramidal
lead roof with finial. Northern head of 'T' formed by an earlier
3 stead barn with inserted first floor, and continuous outshut to
east. Built of flint with brick dressings and incorporating
medieval stone fragments in the masonry. At its northern end,
a 2 bay open fronted cart shed, continued to the east as a range of
weatherboarded and brick sheds with hipped roofs, forming the
boundary with Church Street. Brick parapet gables to barn. At
right angles from the south-west wall of the barn a stable and
haystore. Gabled dormer over first floor loading door. Stable
door with fanlight below with Diocletian window to right. Brick
