TG 22 SE COLTISHALL

2/3 Great Hautbois
Colks Farm Barn.

G.V. II

Barn, C17 and later, of red brick and glazed brick with thatched roof. C17,
3 stead barn, refaced in late C17 and extended with further 3 steads to east
in early C18. Outshuts to south. Two C20 barn doors to north, with honey
comb brick vents on west end, and vent slots on east end. West gable wall
has stable door, with segmental brick arch, eaves level platband and blocked
hayloft door, now with vent slot. Owl hole in gable peak. Brick kneelers,
tie irons and parapet gables, that to east, having brick tumbling in. English
bond and C17 brickwork inside. Tie beams with arch braces to wall posts.
Staggered butt purlin roof with straight wind braces.
