Bure House (formerly
listed as No 56)


Dated 1768 on south side. Red brick, pantile roof. Three storeys. Facade of five
bays. Sashes with glazing bars. Flat gauged arches over ground and first floor
openings. Brick string course at first floor level. Central doorway with pedimented
doorcase, Tuscan pilasters and panelled reveal. Modillion eaves cornice. Parapetted
gables with brick tumbling: internal gable chimney stacks. 2½ storey lean-to wing to
north with sashes with segmental heads. One-storey gabled wing to east. Several blank
window openings on east side.
